West End Project
The construction of the new kitchen and toilet facility in the church is now finished and has become, as we expected a fantastic asset to the Church.
A number of events have taken place since then where the new kitchen has been used.
Official hand over from the Architect and the builder took place in March 2006.

Plans were prepared by George Denny, MA, RIBA, of Elmsted. The contractors were R. Flisher Limited of Dymchurch and their carpenter and joiner, Peter, is the man who built the similar facilities at Biddenden Parish Church.

Below can be seen a few photographs of the work in its early stages.

This work would not have begun so soon if it had not been for the many generous donors to the project, and grants made by the Parish Council, County Council, the Friends of All Saints' and Marshalls Charity to name but a few.

West End Project ProposalOur West End Project was a plan to build a toilet facility specially designed for use by disabled people, together with a kitchen to support the increasing range of activities in the church. Many of these are part of the life of the village and some attract visitors from outside Staplehurst. Permanent catering facilities will help to make these occasions even more welcoming.
In the course of a year these events include:
|
All age workshops |
Concerts |
Parish Breakfasts |
School Services |
Baptisms |
Weddings |
Funerals |
Carol Services |
Remembrance Sunday Service |
Combined Church Services |
Harvest Supper |
Flower Festival |

The new block in the South West corner has been designed to reflect the character of the beautiful and much loved church of All Saints and built of appropriate high quality materials.
