FACT One in 330 boys and one in 420 girls contract cancer before their 20th birthday. One in three people develop cancer at sometime in their life - but to cope with cancer and its treatment during adolescence can be particularly devastating. They need all the help and support they can get (as well as the best treatment) which is available in the specialist units. The cost of each unit is about £500,000.
