Deanery EventsCranbrook Deanery is part of the Diocese of Canterbury and is situated in the Weald of Kent - the Garden of England.![]() The Deanery comprises the Churches of:- St. Dunstan's Church, Cranbrook St. Mary the Virgin's Church, Goudhurst with Christ Church, KILNDOWN St. Laurence's Church, Hawkhurst St. Peter and St. Paul's Church, Headcorn St. Michael and All Angels Church, Marden Trinity Church, Sissinghurst with St. Mary's Church, Frittenden All Saint's Church, Staplehurst The Area Dean is The Reverend Canon Gill Calver, Rector of All Saints Staplehurst. The Deanery Synod comprises members of the clergy of the constituent parishes, and lay members elected at their Annual Parochial Church Meeting to serve for 3 years. The Lay Chair is Mrs. Val Wallis, MBE. The Deanery is also represented at the Diocesan Synod. The Deanery Synod normally meets 3 times a year, rotating round the parishes, in February, June and October, with additional meetings if there is a need.
