Charity for July

HIV Charitable Fund - Working in East Kent

This HIV charitable fund was formed from a bequest in 1989.

The money was to be used for HIV patients and to support the work of volunteers. Over the years specialist health service care has developed but charitable money is still needed to provide crisis loans and white goods equipment.

The request for support was made personally by one of the clinical nurse specialists based at The Royal Victoria Hospital, Folkestone. She is aware that this source of money is dwindling.

The medical specialists find it invaluable to have a charitable fund which they can access to cope with unexpected emergencies or new ways of making life a little easier for HIV patients and their families.

Thank you for your support.
