  • ChildLine

    ChildLine is a free, 24-hour helpline for children and young people in the UK.

    Children and young people can call the helpline on 0800 1111 about any problem, at any time - day or night.

    Children who are deaf or find using a regular phone difficult can try our text phone service on 0800 400 222. ChildLine's counselors are there to help you find ways to sort things out.

    ChildLine is confidential - which means no one will be told about your call unless you want ChildLine to talk to somebody for you, or you are in danger. The lines can be busy but please keep trying and you will get through.

    The Teenage Cancer Trust funds the capital costs for specialist units for young people with cancer, leukaemia, Hodgkin's and related diseases, all over the United Kingdom.

    FACT

    One in 330 boys and one in 420 girls contract cancer before their 20th birthday.

    One in three people develop cancer at sometime in their life - but to cope with cancer and its treatment during adolescence can be particularly devastating. They need all the help and support they can get (as well as the best treatment) which is available in the specialist units. The cost of each unit is about £500,000.

    SPCK is the oldest Anglican mission agency. Founded in 1698 they work with Christians of all denominations to help people grow in the Christian faith. The ministries support Christian literature and Christian education through a publishing programme and book shops.
